On Monday 22nd February, the government announced all pupils will return to school on Monday 8th March. We are currently preparing for this in school and we can’t wait to see your pupils back in school. You should shortly be receiving a letter about this with details of those Year 7 and above on how they can access an asymptomatic test.
Your child should continue to either come into school if they have been already or access work online via Teams.
Please get in touch with your child’s tutor if you have any questions.
22nd February 2021: We continue to operate a voucher system which can be emailed through to you if your child receives Free School Meals in school. Please get in touch with the office if you believe you are entitled to a voucher. Call 0115 915 1271 and speak to a receptionist.
We have been in direct communication with all parents about how pupils who are staying home will be able to access school work while at home. Those who have requested a laptop to use have received one. If you require a computer for your child to access work remotely, please get in touch with your child’s tutor or with reception.
Remote learning is taking place via Microsoft Teams, a free app that your child has had training on during the Autumn term. Please get in touch if you or your child is having difficulty accessing Teams.
For those who have requested work packs, please ensure you keep in regular contact with school for work that is completed.
The school has set up an onsite testing site which it has been testing staff and pupils who currently attend school. If you wish your child to receive a test, you must complete a consent form. You can find one, as well as a privacy notice below.
There are now 3 asymptomatic testing centres in Nottingham that you or anyone can use. These are in Clifton, The Meadows or at The Forest.
These centres for people who do not have symptoms and can be a way to give reassurance that you do not have the virus, or if you do, but do not show symptoms, you can find out and can protect those around you.
The Winter Grant Scheme is now open to Nottingham City residents in receipt of Council Tax Support, with or without children. With rising food costs, we hope this extra support will ease the strain on some families to help them through these difficult times.
10,000 vouchers are currently available as part of this scheme and selected applicants will be chosen on a first-come-first-serve basis. The scheme ensures successful applicants are issued with a £50 supermarket e-voucher to help with food and essential supplies. If you need support during this difficult time and believe that you quality, please find out more including how to apply using the website link below.
Also you may know other friends and families who might benefit from this support so we would encourage you to pass this information on to anyone who this scheme could support.
